Accommodations


Disability appeals must be submitted with the appropriate forms and a doctor's specific diagnosis to the Department of Accessibility Services (DAS), (404) 727-9877 / accessibility@emory.edu. Students must clearly indicate why they are unable to eat the food provided in various dining locations on campus. The doctor providing documentation on cannot be a family member. Students must register with DAS at: accessibility.emory.edu. Once reviewed by DAS, your disability appeal will be forwarded to the Campus Dining Office for approval. Disability appeals are only valid during the academic year in which it is granted. Those granted a disability appeal must reapply for each academic year.  

 

Emory Campus dining provides a range of religious dietary options, including halal, kosher, vegan, vegetarian and meals made without onions and garlic. Students who need additional support based on their religious practice may seek guidance from the Office of Spiritual and Religious Life. Requests to meet with a spiritual advisor regarding food and nutrition must be submitted with the appropriate forms to ORSL. Students must clearly indicate religious inquiries with respect to food provided in the various dining locations on campus. Once reviewed by the Office of Spiritual Life, an in-person interview is conducted. All outcomes will be forwarded to the Office of Campus Dining.
